We tried to help each other out, but in reality, neither of us could really pinpoint the definitive plot of this film. An erratic 2 ½ hours to the tune of $10 On Demand (that's on TV, Folks) left us mind-boggled. Would someone like to 'splain? Maybe one has to be high to get the drift, 'cause Doc Sportello, played by Joaquin Phoenix, was certainly in a constant hazy fog, as he weirdly executed his investigative duties.
All the above said, the acting was superb, even though we didn't know where the hell the story was going.

Can't rate this one; you'll have to see for yourself. But it made me consider - what exactly ARE my inherent vices?
