"How many steps did we do, G'ma," asked Gavin, as we neared completion of his and Aubrey's version of the 2010 gingerbread mansion. "A lot , Honey," said I, as we three began guessing. Great attention spans here; and just look at their intense concentration!
Each child took a side, as did Cousins Hunter and Chloe, over Thanksgiving. It's so interesting to see the varying interpretations, from 8, 6, 5 and 3-year-olds. Young, strong personalities, already formed... each clearly knowing what he or she likes best. Blessings all.
Aubrey is adept enough now to handle the icing glue. Gavin battled through some frustration to master the art of applying small amounts of the goppy, gooey stuff,
where necessary. Great results.
