With only a short time for projects after school today, I'd prepared several options, all ready to go. Aubrey chose to write Santa, on behalf of the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This is sponsored through Macy's, and for every entry, money is donated to support efforts to spread cheer. Aubs was motivated, having just completed a little fundraiser for the homeless. With Pal Michelle in mind, she put a lot of thought into her message. It is with her permission that I share her entry.
Way to go, Aubs.
Gavin chose to make a paper-chain garland, to enhance holiday decorations. We worked together, in between reading aloud a bit of Cleveland Amory's THE CAT WHO CAME FOR CHRISTMAS, to be continued. Sweet. Gav wants the world to know that this chain of love and creativity is 120 links long. He decided to gift it to his Mommy and Daddy, as a little pre-Christmas surprise.
