Gav 'n' The Cupcake Dilemma ♥

Back on January 24th, we shared pizza and cupcakes in honor of Gavin's special day. We were at the table, when Gav looked out the window and excitedly proclaimed, "They're here, they're here!!" Responded Brian, "Who is here?" Gav, "The Wellses and everyone else; I saw their cars."  Bri, "Buddy, no one else is coming tonight." Gav, "You mean this is it?" at which point Kelly chimed in, "Gavin, you know we're having your party later on; we discussed this." The "Aw, shucks!" was palpable. Smile. Kids say the darndest things... and moving along...

"Later on" was to be today. No sooner did I ice and sprinkle fresh cupcakes, when in came the word: our little celebrant was up all night with a virus; party cancelled. Doesn't your heart just break?

What to do with the cupcakes? Is it okay to send our little love such a confection, when his tummy is so upset? Sure, along with a note saying, "For when you feel better." The rest are off to the freezer. Meanwhile, we're sorry for your disappointment, Honey. We love you, ♥
