Music To My Ears - "Grandma," called my girl. |
Traditionally speaking, Super Bowl Sunday has always been a great day to ski. With all the football hoopla, slopes tend to be less populated, affording one the opportunity to bask in the beauty of communing with Nature. Okay, that's enough history. Steep, Icy Start - Top Of The Roman Candle |
To note would be the amazing sunshine, something that has been a rarity around here, of late. It graced us after a particularly difficult week of snow, freezing rain and rain. All the nasty weather messed up gorgeous conditions for our little racers; but troupers that they are, the show went on. "Thanks" here to Ms. Lisa G-B, who has made the rebirth of the program happen.

Gettin' On Those Edges |
Aubs took home the Bronze. She was lookin' good during both runs - right from the steep, icy top, and as she descended through the gates, into easy focus for a shot that speaks to her concentration.

True Sportsmanship - Cheering For Big Sis |
Gavin worked his way down cautiously, first time through the course. Second time down, he felt secure enough to add some speed and ended up taking an excellent Seventh Place, in his group of Munchkins. Gotta love it and them.

Fantastic Concentration - Daddy In Background |
Honestly, sun-on-snow works wonders on the psyche... add enthusiastic kids to the mix and you've got an unbeatable equation for happiness. The chalet was abuzz with excitement, post race.

Now, to round out one Rockin' Sunday, I congratulate the Packers and proclaim halftime to have been fabulous - loved the Black Eyed Peas, Slash and Usher. One more song?
