Bambi 'n' Bambi

It is not quite daybreak. I looked out my front door to see a dozen deer on the other side of our stone wall and about a hundred feet away. One in particular caught my attention. 

When we're snowshoeing, Joe loves to point out indentations in the snow and tell me, "Look, Nick, this is where deer have 'bedded down'." Rarely does one catch them in the act, especially in one's front yard.

Ask me which lens I had on the camera??? Not the one I'd have chosen. Nonetheless, I feel lucky for this capture, taken from behind closed (double) doors. Please remember to left double-click on photo to enlarge.
