As we await the ripening of tomatoes on one of our plants, we notice deepening yellow, but no visible red. They look ripe, feel ripe and smell ripe... but the label that came with the seeds all the way from Germany has long been illegible, a result of monsoon season.
Lo and behold, I thought to cut into one. They ARE ripe! Imagine our surprise upon discovering the heirloom yellows. They are delicious! Once again...
