It was with great anticipation that I awaited tonight's fireworks at our Wanaksink Lake. My Nikon was readied with some Fancy-Nancy manual settings, then carefully perched on a faux tripod. I was confident that my results would be awesome. The display always glows magnificently over the water. An incredible sunset enhanced this particular show. I, however, was humbled by my lack of ability in this arena. It's back to the drawing board, with a whole year ahead to hone my skills, or otherwise remain on automatic for life! Hmmm, I'm guessing that this one pic represents sheer luck, in its testimony to a great evening. If you enlarge it, you'll see... yes, Virginia, there really was light.
Sigh... a beautiful Fourth.
