They sent the busses out for the older kids, today. Scusimi?? Finding roads to be horrific, the powers that be executed an immediate turnaround, sending high and middle schoolers home. At the last possible minute, elementary schools were closed, as well. WHAT IS THAT? I'm pissed at the district and even more pissed at the parents who allowed their own out the door.
I'd gladly defend absenteeism, based on parents' decisions. I'd happily attend Board meetings to defend teachers, as well, if they deem it unsafe to travel. Each must act on his or her own in protecting our loved ones and ourselves. To the decision makers:
ALWAYS err on the side of caution, where it concerns our children.
