The ingredients in the fridge that needed using asap were responsible for the name. Little bits of this 'n' that were tossed into the Cuisinart:
Raw ground sirloin
Raw chicken
Leftover cooked rice in tomatoes
Crusty bread
Tofu
I added the following and mixed well into a pâté:
A large egg
A little catsup
Garlic powder, parsley and ground pepper
Portions were rolled lightly in flour and placed on a throwaway pan; then sprayed with EVOO and baked at 400 degrees for 40 minutes. I tasted one, fresh from the oven... a delicious derivative of an old standby.
Tonight, I'll simmer a few in sauce and serve with pasta and a salad. Tomorrow night, Joe plays ball; he'll probably have a meatball hero on Minimalist Bread, afterwards, in celebration of a win. :-) Buon Appetito.
