Snowy Strawberry Shortcake - A Recipe

Today was a snow day. You know... in kids' jargon, the equivalent of a major holiday. Aubrey couldn't wait to whip up her now-mastered breakfast of pancakes, turkey bacon and scrambled eggs. They were starving, and no consumption-coaxing was necessary. She then needed to get a poster done for Brownie/Girl Scout cookie sales... Samoas. YUM! Awesome job, don't you think?
A cake was also in the works, if Gav didn't eat up all the strawberries, first.

Ingredients:
Two finger-lickin', terrific KidGrands
A Duncan yellow cake mix + necessary additives
Leftover heavy cream and icing from the freezer
Washed, hulled strawberries
"G'ma, what's for lunch?"
