New York gave Chelsea a gorgeous day yesterday, a jewel of July. Our local newspaper surveyed its readers with the question, "Are you interested in the details of the wedding?" A mere fifteen percent of a couple thousand responses said "Yes." I was surprised. I'm so interested in this beautiful young lady, who has grown up with such grace under circumstances that would easily squelch the heart of many. She looked radiant, I think. Vera's gown of the most elegant simplicity suited our bride well. Nearby Rhinebeck was fortunate to go down in the history books as host to such a regal ceremony.
