"I Am Love"

When the NY TIMES and Mr. D's piano man concur that a movie is excellent, I listen. They are correct. Grazie.

Sight, hearing, taste, smell and touch... five basic senses we learn of in elemen-
tary school. How do they affect our perception of life... or, of art in film?

Visually, it's magnificent, sometimes seeming to be a slide show of the most amazing stills, taken from unimaginable angles, and with bokeh to die for. The sounds - Italian dialogue and a powerful score -  accentuate the mood of each and every scene. Personally, I can almost smell the flowers and taste the cuisine, Italian soul food of the most exquisite variety. Physicality is enhanced by the visual bombardment of Nature's own sensuality. All forces join in a story with many twists, and an ending that leaves its interpretation to the viewer. You know - something to think about. Twelve years in the making.

That's all I'll say. Please watch. We'll talk.

Squisito. Io Sono l'Amore. Sensuale.
