Pilgrim Monu-ment is visible from wher-
ever you stand in Provincetown. The above view of the "skyline" is different than any we've previously noticed or recorded for all posterity. Joe and I thought the choice of green was an odd one for shoreline buildings.
There is never a dull moment in this former whaling village, once filled with Portuguese fishermen who struggled to make a living. Now, it is an ever evolving work of art where alternative lifestyles are abundant. No one bats an eyelash, when a gay marriage takes place on a pier.
The low-tide waters seem calm in the photos, but strong winds created equally strong tides. We witnessed a kayaker in distress. She was a tad embarrassed to be brought in by the harbor patrol, and she wanted to go right back out. She didn't. Smart move.
