We abandoned Mambo for a couple hours today, so as to return to the (link) gardens. At 55 degrees, it was nearly balmy, by comparison to the other day! We enjoyed yet another aspect of this amazing place - the sculpture gardens. Gorgeous landscapes frame the artwork well. There is quite a bit of color around, too, and magnolia buds are getting ready to burst. Still, we must return when its all in full bloom for the full impact. In these parts, that begins in March.
We were accompanied by a flock of turkey hens, wandering about under live oaks. We didn't spot any toms, though, till we were leaving the park. Ah, those men are always struttin' their stuff and playin' hard to get.
Here's a small photo representation of what we enjoyed.
