It cleared in time for fireworks, last night, and then came today's exquisite weather. Twin fawns seemed to like sunny odds for safe straying from Momma. As we returned from the lake and took the turn into Stacey, there they were, about to head into the neighbor's driveway. Instead, they bolted into the woods. But curiosity got the best of them. They covered only a few feet, stopped in their tracks and then turned to check us out.
This is not an uncommon sight, during our summers. But the other day, I saw twin spike-buck yearlings in Rock Hill. They were stunners, with horns in velvet. That was a first, for me. I was driving and unable to capture them with NIK. Maybe another day?
Sunny days also bring huge blooms, all pretty in pink.
