May the Best Bûche Win...

This is an update. You might recall my (link) excited post about my first bûche. Well, I went on to make another that was filled with simple vanilla REAL whipped cream. Both were served for Christmas dessert and guess what???? No one touched the all chocolate one, but the simpler one was devoured. It received absolute RAVE reviews. A keeper. We needed more.

Just add ¼ cup confectioners sugar and a teaspoon of vanilla to a pint of heavy cream. Beat, but don't over-beat. Fill and roll, as per original instructions. It doesn't get any more delicious… just ask my kids and grands!!
