It's a quick diversion to stop in Cape Charles, as we head south. We are such creatures of habit. Still, it's suffering a very hard economical hit, in spite of its Chesapeake Bay-side location. It's hard to believe that there was once a ferry running from Cape shores to Norfolk. A few tourists wandered around. We hope this lovely place will eventually experience a revival.
Back on the road and headed with determination to that famous bridge-tunnel. Excitement mounted. Next stop? OBX.
